EPCs & Floor Plans - Expertly Delivered

What is an EPC?

An Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) rates how energy-efficient a property is, on a scale from A (most efficient) to G (least efficient).

Your EPC includes details on energy use, estimated running costs, and environmental impact, along with practical recommendations to improve efficiency and reduce bills.

An EPC is legally required when selling or renting a property and remains valid for 10 years.

What to Expect on the Day

Your assessment will be carried out by a qualified Domestic Energy Assessor. During the visit, we’ll take measurements, notes, and photographs (for internal use only) to ensure an accurate report.

Here’s what’s typically included:

// Dating the property and any extensions

// Identifying wall, floor, and roof construction and insulation

// Assessing windows, doors, and ventilation

// Reviewing heating systems, controls, and lighting types

// Measuring all key dimensions and windows

// Creating a basic floor plan

Once complete, we’ll process the data and lodge your EPC through an accredited system. You’ll usually receive your certificate within 1–3 working days.

Floor Plans

Particularly estate agents, often require floor plans to market the property undergoing an energy assessment. This can be carried out at the same time as the assessment visit, and then branded and styled in line with the agent’s brand and marketing style. These are usually turned around with the EPC in 1-3 working days.
